Pia is a Transformational Coach & Facilitator, Digital Marketer, Improviser, Writer, and Public Speaker. She has spent the last eight years working in social justice nonprofits at both the direct service level and policy level.  At Momentum Solutions, Pia uses her strengths as a leadership coach and also helps clients develop effective and engaging social media campaigns. Most recently she has served as the Digital Communications Manager for Advancement Project California and as a consultant for the Zimmer Children’s Museum’s youTHink program. In this program, she used the power of art to empower youth in grades 5-12 to sharpen their critical thinking and civic engagement skills. Pia also uses improv to help adults, children, and organizations to develop better communication skills and increase their self-awareness, confidence and creative-thinking abilities. She is an Accredited Transformational Coach through Leadership That Works. Since 2003 she has been studying and performing improvisation and acting at the Studio Theater,  Bang Comedy Theater, and Improv Olympics West. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. When she’s not writing her blog or shopping for funky jewelry, Pia enjoys cooking for friends and family, eating chunky monkey ice cream and watching quirky television shows with her husband, Will.
